The Institute at The Children's Center for Communication (Beverly School for the Deaf) welcomes Franklin Jones, Jr. to the Distinguished Speaker Series. You won't want to miss his presentation - Black American Sign Language: Past and Present - on Tuesday, May 9, from 5:30-7:00pm EST.

Mr. Jones is a Faculty Lecturer in Boston University's Deaf Studies program. His lived experience as a Black multigenerational Deaf Gay man has fueled his passion for delving deeper into Black American Sign Language in the hopes of uncovering historical roots and linguistic and cultural content. He is also a highly-sought-after speaker in the areas of educational, linguistic, and cultural equity in Deaf communities.
